According to latest buzz King Khan Shahrukh and ace filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj will join hands for project which will be the official remake of the popular Hollywood flick ‘The Departed’, starring Leonardo Di Caprio.

The two had been going through rough patch, following a creative differences in a film’s script. However, it seems that Khan and Bhardwaj have sorted out things and starting afresh.

In the remake, Shahrukh will be playing police officer… (Hmmm looks like the cop season is in – first Salman, then Aamir and now SRK too has joined the Khaki bandwagon). And he will be co-producing the venture.

Sources claim that official matters like the rights from the original movie have been acquired and now it’s just that Vishal and Shahrukh have to chalk out production details, cast and crew.

Currently, both the helmer and actor-producer are having hands full in their respective ways. While SRK is busy with ‘Don2’ and ‘Ra.One’, Vishal is held up with his two prestigious projects ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ and ‘Dream Sequence’. So, sources add that the two will sit back for a serious discussion only by next year.

Well, one has to wait and watch what Vishal Bhardwaj - who has given us power pact movies like ‘Omkara’ and ‘Kaminey’ - has stored in for the Badshah of Bollywood….
